Wild Nature
We have now seen the utter devastation of cyclone
Yasi but inexplicably, no life was lost. To me this seems like Divine
intervention, an answer to the thousands of prayers and healing energy that was
sent to protect those whom destiny placed in the path of that mother of all
storms.
Not only that, now we have also seen
Christchurch decimated by a second Earth quake in 6 months. There the cost in
lives has been much higher. Is there a message for humanity in all of this?
Why do these things occur? Nature is not
insane, the Divine is beneficent and so what is it that causes natural
calamities?
Humanity, each and every one of us, has a
Divine spark within us, and the purpose of our every life is to recognize that,
understand what it means, and try to experientially realize it in a practical
way. The Divine will use either a carrot that is dangled in front of us (something
we really yearn for) or a stick (something hideous) to drive us forward, just
like a person trying to get a stubborn donkey to move forward.
The everyday experiences of our lives
become consuming, and we get sucked into constant thought and varying levels of
consternation about the small things that are going on around us, which at the
time seem like large things. That is, until something really large happens, to
put our lives into perspective.
We often ignore the purpose of life, being
so busy with living, and natural calamities like Yasi and Christchurch are a
way that we are brought back to a broader reality. We exist as a result of
Divine grace. Our lives are fragile. Even the best planned and most hardworking
person is usually ignorant of past life adventures and misadventures. Every one
of us is ever at the receiving end of the spiritual laws, and life (as well as
our future) is responsive to the way that we have lived it.
Fires, earthquakes and floods are methods
by which the Earth purifies itself.
In biblical terms, tempests, floods, earth
eruptions, famine, plagues and pestilence were regarded as Divine punishment.
From a judgment based consciousness, which is a vibration that permeates some
parts of old testament writing (at least in the way that it has been
interpreted and translated) this is not surprising.
My own understanding of these things is
that they happen when the vibration of a society has gone a bit stagnant or off
track, when people are not searching within, reaching for the love and having
some kind of relationship with their spirit. Emotions are not handled well,
either being suppressed or projected. Thoughts are not even recognized as
things. There is little understanding of the non-physical fundamentals of life.
These calamities to me are not a
punishment, it is just a natural result, somewhat like jumping off a cliff also
has a natural result. Shiva is not punishing you, it is just what happens.
The mechanism through which the weather
elementals of fire, earth air and water become seemingly deranged and dangerous
comes from discordant human effluent. Just as we have to manage our physical
wastes, (garbage and sewage) we also need to manage our emotional and psychic
waste. This stuff floats around the astral field and sticks to these elemental
beings, in the same way that oil spills stick to aquatic life, coating penguins
and sea birds and all manner of creatures with black goo. This sends them a bit
crazy, and they attract demonic beings which feed off the energy that has been
generated. Then all Hell breaks loose.
With the Dark Age having caused the loss of
many Earth and nature savvy spiritual traditions, narrow theology and the lack
of multi-dimensional spiritual understanding in many western nations, we are a
bit behind the 8 ball when it comes to keeping up with the management of etheric,
emotional and mind debris created by humanity. If every person would do inner
reflection technique at the end of the day, and actually erase their mental,
emotional and physical mistakes with electric violet light, we would all manage
our own mess. In the end, Nature would be kinder. A cycle of relative peace,
such as we see in a Golden Age, would result, even permeating nature.
We can work directly with the weather
elementals. We need to clean them up, and work directly upon the human mind set
which increasingly believes that the weather is degenerating. As beliefs alter
things, this is not a great belief to hold. Instead we can acknowledge that
things have gotten a bit wild, while cultivating a belief (astral dimensional
reality) that they will get better. If enough people were doing this, over time
we can affect the weather in beneficial ways. It would be great to get onto
this as a public service. If we had a few hundred people doing a clearing meditation
on the weather once per week for about 4 or 5 years we would be able to make a
substantial difference to the growing imbalances in the elements that are
giving severe weather patterns. Will we be able to find that many people with
that much faith and dedication? I hope so. These kinds of projects are
precisely what Shanti Mission and our Vision Groups is all about.
When talking of natural disasters as ways
in which the Earth undergoes purification, there is no criticism intended or
implied of the people who are in their path. It is not like they are the bad
people and the rest of us are ok. Their souls on some level have agreed to
shoulder some of the burden of human karma and take it on, living through
something ghastly and extinguishing the karma through that experience. Just
like the people who died in the World trade centre, just like those who suffer
through wars, these people are, spiritually speaking, heroes. They deserve our
prayers, and our spiritual, mental, emotional, financial and practical support.
They are going to need it.
Namaste. May we, and our Queensland and New Zealand
friends and relations all be blessed.
