Therapists Code of Conduct
Standard of Care
We are a school of excellence in complementary health care. Our world class graduate therapists are recognised as having a high level of skill on account of them holding our professional certification.
In order to maintain our high standard we require that our therapists abide by a code of conduct. In addition, we have a continuing education requirement, so that skills remain up to date and therapists continue to evolve and grow themselves. They are required to keep abreast with developments in the field and attend a minimum of 32 hours of continuing educational seminars annually. They have to receive regular healings in order to keep their own energy clean; a commitment to self-care. This commitment to continuing education maintains best practices and will assist all to receive the very best experience of Ignite Your Spirit therapy.
When you consult a certified Ignite your Spirit therapist, you can expect professional and compassionate care. So that you know what we expect from our therapists, below is the code of conduct for therapists. Should you experience anything less than this standard of excellence then we would appreciate it if you could let us know so that we can help educate our therapists and remind them of the superb level of care that we want you to have.
If upon investigation of a complaint, serious breaches of our codes of conduct and ethics are discovered, this may result in suspension or termination of registration and right to practice as an Ignite Your Spirit Therapist.

Complaints
The procedure should a client or member of the public

therapist is as follows.
- The dispute will
be brought to the licensing body which is the harmony Centre foundation. A
nominated officer will review the matter and try to conciliate. If conciliation
is unable to effect a resolution then the matter will be treated as a dispute. - Where there are
disputes, there are in truth blockages to love. We will honestly seek to meet
disputes with consciousness, not hiding from them, and not fuelling them, but
noting them so that we can learn. Harmony arises through conflict if we use
conflict intelligently. The peace that results from the proper resolution of
conflict is long lasting and secure - If the practitioner and licensing body are unable to
resolve an issue it is to be brought before a panel of certified Ignite Your
Spirit therapists so that a group healing can be given to the parties and the
dispute. The aim is wisdom, loving kindness and non injury. - Should the panel
find that the IYS therapist is in breach of our code of conduct, then depending
upon the severity of the offence, the following sanctions will be applied:
- Suspension of licence pending healing and further
education - Revocation of practicing certificate and removal of
name from the role of licensed practitioners. - Notification of police or relevant authorities should
there be a breach of the law.
