Kabalah 1

In this introduction to the Kabalah you will be introduced to Jehovah and His 4 worlds. Through all this you will learn a beautiful, elegant, ancient system for self analysis, self development, and a comprehensive method of bringing the grace and beauty of the mystical approach into everyday life.

Kabalah 2

In this program we will look more deeply into the sephira, path ways within the tree and triangles of power. We will also look at the major arcana of  the tarot and its correspondences with the Kabalah. The journey from being unaware to full enlightenment is described in the progression of the symbols contained in these cards.

Hinduism - Shiva Shakti

-           Consciousness, and Power

If you think your family is unusual wait until you meet Shiva, most powerful and terrible of the Hindu Gods. His first wife Sati ended her life by jumping into a ceremonial fire. She later reincarnated as Parvarti, daughter of the Himalayas. Parvarti takes on many personalities as she vanquishes demons, and as Durga she comes to the aid of the Gods and man. 

In grief at the death of Sati, Shiva retired from Earthly life and became an ascetic, living on a Himalayan mountain in permanent meditation. For lots of good reasons, Shiva was eventually shot by an arrow from Kama, the Hindu equivalent of Cupid. He then fell in love with Parvarti and became a householder. His eldest son Ganesh has the head of an elephant after a misunderstanding through which his original (lower consciousness) head was severed. Shiva’s second son was birthed by Ganga, a Goddess who came to Earth as a mighty, sacred river to wash away sin.

Learn the deep spiritual significance of these fascinating and colourful stories, and how Durga, Shiva, Shakti, Shanti, Ganga, Kartikaya and Ganesh all live inside of us, and we in them.

Hinduism - Avatar

-       Healing, maintaining and Preserving dharma.

In this introduction to Hinduism we will look briefly at the Trimurtri (Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva) before focussing on Vishnu and his role in maintaining the balance between light and dark, evolution and continuity.

In times of darkness He answers the prayers of the people and incarnates to restore goodness within Human society. We will look at the major incarnations of Vishnu including the Tortoise Avatar, and his incarnations as the Avatars Rama, Krishna and Buddha. We will also look at the Divine Feminine in the form of Radha (Beloved of Krishna) and Sita (Wife of Ram). Learn about the power of devotion through the ‘monkey god’ Hanuman as well as the Eternal Man Narayana, from whom creation sprang. We also meet Narayana’s consort Lakshmi, daughter of the Ocean.

The Sacred Guru Tradition
Beyond religion, a look at discipleship, a golden key to spiritual enlightenment; the ancient oral tradition used in East and West. The care, protection, patient and guiding love of the Guru assists the disciple to gain enlightenment. The method is loving kindness and surrender, the outcome is awakened wisdom and power. How it works and its modern relevance is explored conceptually and through discourse and blessing.

Devotion

Devotion is love with commitment and can be applied to a person or to a principle. It is beyond a purely mental construct, and deeply engages our heart and soul. Devotion is something that human hearts crave. In our culture, devotion is shown at sporting events by enthusiastic fans, and we also see it in the adoration of film and music stars.

When we become devoted to someone, generally we try to emulate them. When we become devoted to something or someone, we enter into a world that others might find perplexing, not understanding the inner passion that ignites the spirit within us on account of the devotion that we feel.

Devotion in a spiritual context is a rich and complex relationship, encompassing self-exploration, service, inner growth, surrender (which paradoxically is empowering and brings an increasing awareness of the Divine within), unity, deep caring and boundless affection. More than anything, devotion is a deep and profoundly beautiful kind of love.

Devotion is the first pillar of Shanti Mission, because it is the most potent means by which we can become united with the Divine in a self-realized sense. This means, not just knowing we are one with God, not just understanding the concept but actually having the experience of Divine oneness (unity) in an empowered and sustained way. Countless people have found that devotion to a Guru is a very fast path to self realization. It brings bliss, joy, ecstasy, inner peace, access to profound wisdom, and personal empowerment.

Spiral Dynamics

Bringing peace and unity to Earth’s 680 billion people is a tall order. There are so many different kinds of people on Earth, ranging from simple subsistence farmers, to high tech super city dwellers, industrialists to green conservationists; one wonders how progress can be made.

We will look at a different kind of spiral, one that helps us understand the many needs of the people of the Earth. We will examine ourselves with a view to discovering just how evolved our consciousness really is, through the lens of Spiral Dynamics, a system developed by Clare W Graves and made popular by Don Beck. We look at different moral codes, and some avenues through which we might think about global and local issues somewhat differently to how we did before.
