The divine is within all things. It lives in everything naturally. We are already divine. We are already everything we need to be. So why don’t we experience the divine in ourselves? Why is it so hard to open into the miraculous, and into all-encompassing self-love?

Often on a spiritual path, we think that the divine is something outside of ourselves that we have to strive for; that we have to prove ourselves worthy of. Yet it is usually most easy to witness the divine inside of things that are characterised by their simple being-ness.

Why is it that when we see puppies, kittens or children playing, our hearts feel sweet and light? It’s because there is nothing between their authentic self and the world. They forget themselves in the moment, and be that which they are. We see the divine manifesting through them as playfulness, innocence, and genuine curiosity and interest in everything they encounter. These characteristics can also be perceived within the great illuminated beings of the world, though in those great saints and masters, the innocence is enriched by the vast wisdom of Self-knowledge – a wisdom that comes from experiencing the divine in everything – good and bad, dark and light.

The journey of the Christ, both in mainstream and mystical Christian traditions, involves the healing of sin, the overcoming of shame, and a return to wholeness with the Divine. On this three-day retreat, we will be going deep into these areas, opening our hearts to the Divine within, releasing our chronic self-consciousness, and becoming that which we are.

We will be using creativity, alongside music, mystical text, ceremony, and deep meditation to melt that which comes between us and unconditional love, self-acceptance, and all-embracing divinity.

Feel free to bring crayons, cardboard, clay, stickers, musical instruments; whatever best allows you to open into creative expression.

It’s time to relax, open our hearts and come home to the Divine that lives there. I’m looking forward to seeing what we uncover together!
